Digital transformation – is it just a buzzword, does it really matter, how do you feel transformed?
Olivia Belle, Director of Transformation at Versus Arthritis and Matt Phipps-Taylor, Head of innovation & Insight at PPL, discuss and debate what digital transformation actually means in practice. What they have actually done and what it means in the real world.
The three areas the discussion will focus on:
How important is the technology itself within a “digital” transformation? What are the other pillars?
When do we stop needing a digital strategy – isn’t the ultimate goal to no longer need one because digital is embedded/business as usual?
Looking ahead, what is the next “transformation” likely to be for your organisation? Are you planning for it yet?
Olivia Belle is passionate about social change and is leading the change programme at Versus Arthritis, the ambitious new charity pushing to defy arthritis. She has previously held leadership communications roles in health, social care, disability, children and youth charities with an aim to amplify the voice of beneficiaries. She is also a trustee of National Voices.
Matt Phipps-Taylor is the Head of Insight & Innovation at PPL and has introduced capabilities for Data Strategy, Analytics, and Data Governance to help the organisation use data in the smartest ways. The analytic tools developed by Matt’s team have increased the effectiveness and the efficiency of PPL’s operations, and his achievements at PPL led to him being awarded the ‘best in class’ in the Government & Non-profit category at the Data Leaders Awards earlier this year.
